Wishing Fairies
About Us
I was looking for a craft to do with my kids one day when my daughter suggested we try making Fairies. They were fun to make and very sweet. Nearing Christmas, we made a batch to decorate the tree with, and I even sold a few at craft fairs. But I wanted to do more than just sell them - I wanted to teach my daughters about giving to the community.
I decided that some proceeds from our fairies should go to a children’s charity. I chose Children’s Wish Foundation because of what seemed to be a natural connection between the magic of wishing and the magic of Fairies. And so the "Wishing Fairies" came into being.
Our goal was to raise $200 dollars in donations. Once we reached our goal I realized this could be bigger than I'd intended. Everyone who sees them LOVES the fairies, so why not keep going? I am now partnered with CWF and the Wishing Fairies will generate ongoing donations for their great charity.
I could have simply donated $200 to CWF and not thought any more of it but creating the Wishing Fairies allowed many more people to become involved. Now the fairies are out in the world, helping to grant wishes and bring joy to children who really need a ray of sunshine in their lives.
